No. 2 seed Kiki Bertens stormed past eighth-seeded Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan 6-1, 6-3 on Sunday to repeat as champion at the St. Petersburg Ladies' Trophy in Russia.

Bertens, the world No. 8 from the Netherlands, had six aces as she won 79 percent of her first serve efforts in the match. Bertens converted half of her eight break opportunities in the efficient 74-minute contest.

Bertens also fended off all five break points she faced and improved to 2-0 against Rybakina head-to-head.

It's the first win of the year for Bertens, and the 10th of her career.
