Scandinavian police crack major drug ring
Kyrgyzstan News.Net Monday 12th January, 2009
Police in Norway and Sweden have cracked a major drug network and have seized more than three-quarters of a ton of narcotics.
30 people were held after a raid which occurred after police were tipped off after drugs were smuggled in under the guise of flower shipments.
Police in Norway began their investigation in summer 2007 and contacted their counterparts in Sweden, from where the drugs, mainly hashish, were emanating.
Norwegian, Swedish, Dutch and Moroccan citizens are among the suspects detained.
