Lufthansa pilots on pay strike

Lufthansa has been forced to cancel nearly 1,000 flights in Germany because of an unannounced strike by pilots.
The pilots, from two subsidiary airlines, Eurowings and CityLine, stopped work at midday on Tuesday in protest at stalled pay talks.
The pilots have said they will return to work at midnight on Wednesday.
Lufthansa says at least 10,000 passengers will be affected.
